WASHINGTON - The bipartisan H.R. 2409 "Expanding Access to Capital for Rural Job Creators Act" passed unanimously through the House Financial Services Committee today. This bill will make it easier for people in rural parts of America and the 5th District to gain access to capital and investments.
Congressman Riggleman gave a speech on the House floor today. He addressed the issue of drug trafficking in the Nelson County region of the 5th District and urged Congress to designate the region as a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA). This designation would help law enforcement better protect our communities and increase support for combating drugs.
