Congressman Denver Riggleman Gives Facebook Live Update from U.S. - Mexico Border
Washington D.C. - Congressman Denver Riggleman gave a Facebook live address from the U.S. - Mexico border in New Mexico yesterday. Standing on the southern border, Congressman Riggleman discussed the ongoing border crisis and what he had learned so far on the Congressional Delegation trip.
"The thing that we are learning out here is not only the delineation of responsibilities but that there is room for improvement on our border wall and securities. There are three priorities that we need to address," said Congressman Riggleman. "[W]e need more barriers, more ways to protect our law enforcement and American citizens and the immigrants that are crossing."
Congressman Riggleman is traveling with a Congressional Delegation to observe operations and conditions at the U.S. - Mexico border and took the opportunity to discuss the issues that are most prevalent. These include adding personnel, giving them the technology they need to succeed, and addressing a lack of infrastructure. The Congressman has also had the opportunity to visit both a border patrol station and an ICE facility.
Congressman Riggleman will be available for comment and interviews following his return.
