SPECIAL EDITION: Denver in the District
March 22, 2019
This week I was back in the 5th District. It was great to be at home with my family and meeting with constituents like you. It was a packed week with stops in Mecklenburg, Appomattox, Albemarle, Lynchburg, Charlottesville, and more!
Here are some highlights:
On Monday, I had the pleasure of awarding Ashlyn Stolz, a student at St. Anne's Belfield with both the Silver and Bronze Congressional Medals for her work in the community.
At a UVA Health Roundtable I saw first hand the efforts being made to root out opioid addiction in our communities. The roundtable, entitled "How UVA Health System is Changing Patient Care in Response to the Opioids Crisis" was an opportunity to hear from experts working to combat this epidemic.
I also met with students at Park View High School in South Hill. We had a great time talking about how students can get involved in local government and enact positive change in their communities.
I was in Lynchburg this Wednesday to interview with ABC13 News about a variety of issues that face our district. I promise to always keep you informed about the work that we are doing in Congress to fight for the people of the 5th.
With all the things going on in Congress, it is very important to me that I stay connected with you and the 5th District. Please reach out to my office at (202) 225-4711 if there is anything we can help you with.
